My name is Filmon Tsehaye Weldemariam, and I am a software developer and recent Computer Science & Engineering graduate. My career and future depend on my ability to see, but my vision is currently under threat.
I have been diagnosed with a Retinal Dystrophic disorder and vitreous opacity. I have secured an urgent medical appointment at Charité – CBF Berlin on August 18, 2026, which is critical to preventing permanent vision loss.
I am raising 1.5 million ETB to cover the comprehensive costs of this trip, including my medical treatment, visa fees, airfare, 15 days of stay in Berlin, and health insurance. Due to the progression of my condition, I am currently unable to work. I am reaching out to my professional network, friends, and the public for help to get me to Berlin in time for this appointment.
Every contribution brings me closer to recovery and the chance to return to the career I love. Please donate, and if you are unable to, please share my story.
