በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን የሰ/ት/ቤቶች ማደራጃ መመሪያ ማኅበረ ቅዱሳን ከቅዱስ ሲኖዶስ ባገኘው ፈቃድ መሠረት የቤተ ክርስቲያን እምነት እና ሥርዓት እንዲጠበቅ፣ ኦርቶዶክሳውያን የከፍተኛ ትምህርት ተቋማት ተማሪዎች ስለ እምነታቸው እንዲያውቁ ማስተማር፣ ገዳማት እና የአብነት ት/ቤቶች ድጋፍ የሚያደርግ ከመንፈሳዊ አገልግሎት በተጨማሪ ማኅበራዊ አገልግሎት የሚሰጥ ተቋም ነው፡፡

Mahiber Kidusan is set under the Sunday School department of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church with the permission of the Holy Synod. Its core services are: -
- Organize the youth, who are the children of the church, in higher education under the
association and provide them with the teachings of the church.
- Play its role to preserve the faith and order of the church by spreading the gospel
- Support of monasteries and Abinet schools (church study).
- Providing range of social services for the community
