IGA supoort to the poorest of poor women

Hilawe Foundation (HF) is established in Nov. 2008 with a vision to see destitute, under privileged and the poorest of the poor segment of the Ethiopian community to have greatest participation and meaningful involvement in the socioeconomic development of the country. Its Mission is also is to provide holistic support for orphan and vulnerable children (OVC) and economically empower the under privileged families and prevent and control the spread of HIV/AIDS.

HF, one of the Non Governmental Organizations operating in Ethiopia, realized that the problem of poor women is immense. Supporting women with Orphan and Vulnerable Children is therefore acknowledged by HF as a major contributing factor in eradicating poverty from Ethiopia. Therefore, with this initiation Income Generating Support project is designed. The project is to be implemented in Woreda 13 of Kole Keraniyo sub-city of Addis Ababa City Administration.

Income Generating Support for the poorest of the poor women
2.General Objective
To reduce the socioeconomic problem of the poorest of the poor community in Kolfe Keraniyo Sub-city of Addis Ababa City Administration

3.Type and number of Beneficiaries
The direct and indirect beneficiaries selected for the project from Wereda 13 of Kolfe Keraniyo Sub-city are:-
3.1) 20 women are direct beneficiaries for Income Generating Support during three years project period,
3.2) The indirect beneficiaries are 80 family members (40 male, 40 female) of the direct beneficiaries mentioned above.

5.Duration of the project
The project lasts for three years that is from July 2023 – June 2026.

Starting from July 1, 2023.
